Medical treatments for outpatients are given in order of
the patient's arrival in most hospitals, excluding dentists and some
general hospitals. Hospitals are generally closed on Sundays and
holidays. Please note that there are some successive holidays in May
and August, as well as the New Year holiday.
Some clinics may be closed on either Wednesday or Thursday. Please
confirm their office hours, lunch hours, and days closed in advance.
外来患者の診療は、歯科や一部の総合病院を除いて、先着順に行っています。通常日曜日、祝祭日は、休診です。5月の連休、8月のお盆休み、年末年始は、連
続して休診になりますので注意してください。
一般の診療所では、水曜日や木曜日を休診にしているところがありますので、昼休みを含めた診察時間と診察受付時間及び曜日をあらかじめ確認しておくとよい

you have examinations during irregular hours, such as late at night and
on holidays, you will be asked to pay additional expenses for irregular
hour services, late-night services, or holiday services on top of
normal expenses for first/re-consultation, delivery, examination,
emergency operation, and anesthesia.
診療時間外、深夜、休日に診察を受けた場合には、初再診療、分娩費、検査、緊急の手術、麻酔代にそれぞれ時間外加算、深夜加算、休日加算がかかります。 |

Hospitals and clinics are on duty by turns for emergencies
during closed days. Please inquire for the hospitals on duty at your
local municipal offices or fire stations.
休日の救急患者の初期救急として、病院や一般診療所が当番で診療を行っています。休日当番の問合せは近くの市町村役場または地区消防本部へしてください。

Persons insured by Health Insurance, National Health
Insurance, and Overseas Travelers' Personal Accident Insurance, should
show their insurance card before they receive examinations. However,
some examinations, such as regular delivery, abortion due to economic
reasons, traffic accidents, worker's accidents, health checkups,
vaccinations, cosmetic surgery, orthodontics, part of some dental
expenses, fees for special accommodations, and meals at hospital are
not insured. Please consult with your doctor when you have medical
treatments not covered by your insurance.
健康保険や国民健康保険、海外旅行障害保険に加入している人は、保険証を窓口に呈示して、保険診療を受けてください。ただし、保険のきかない診療、正常な
分娩及び経済的な理由による人工妊娠中絶、交通事故、労働災害、健康診断、予防注射、美容整形、歯列矯正、歯科診療の一部の材料費、差額ベッド代、入院時
の食事等には、保険が適用されません。保険適用外の医療内容については、医師と相談の上治療を受けてください。 |

Babies and Infants' Medical Insurance card, you should show it along
with your health insurance card if asked to show them.

A babies and toddlers fee is required for children under
age 6 in addition to the general expenses such as first/re-consultation
fees, injection fees, examination fees, and operation fees.

There is a medical security system in which the government
bears a part of one's medical expenses in cases where babies, toddlers,
and severe psychosomatic patients receive medical treatments.
Applicants may apply for these medical securities at their local
municipal offices and receive the recipients' card.

for an ambulance. The emergency service is free, but be prepared to
answer any necessary questions immediately. The operator will ask your
name, birth date, address, nationality, and the type of your insurance.
重病や緊急の時は、119番へ電話をして救急車を利用することができます。利用料金は、無料ですが、患者の名前、生年月日、住所、国籍、保険の種類など聞
