In transfering a foreign driver's license, officials will follow necessary
procedures, conduct prior checks of documents and confirm the applicant's
knowledge and practical skills of driving.
An easy test concerning driving-related subjects and practical skills is carried out to confirm one's knowledge and practical skills. These are held only at the Drivers' Education Center (Harue-cho) and the Reinan Drivers' Education Center (Mikata-cho).
English, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish, and Persian language tests are available.
People from countries which have an equal driver's license system are exempted from examination.

Iceland, Ireland, Britain, Italy, Australia, Holland, Greece, Switzerland,
Sweden, Austria, Spain, Denmark, Germany, New Zealand, Norway, Finland,
France, Belgium, Portugal, and Luxembourg
手続き、「書類の事前点検」と「知識・実技の確認」を行っています。
「知識・実技の確認」とは、運転に関する学科とと技能についての簡単な試験を行うものです。運転者教育センター（春江）と嶺南運転者教育センター（三方町）のみで行っています。
「知識・実技の確認」は英語、ポルトガル語、中国語、スペイン語、ペルシャ語での受験が可能です。
日本と同等の免許制度を有する国については、試験は免除されます。
