＜国際運免許証＞ |

If you have an international driver's license, issued by a country participating in "International Motor Traffic Treaty and Geneva Article," and also meet the following conditions, you may drive in Japan.
「道路交通に関するジュネーブ条約」に加盟している国が発行し国際自動車運転免許証を持っている人で次の条件を同時に満たしている人は、日本で運転をすることができます。

（１） Your international driver's license has been issued in the past year.
国際運転免許証が発給されてから１年以内であること。 |
（２） You have been in Japan for less than 1year.
日本に上陸してから１年以内であること。 |

In cases where people who are registered as Japanese residents or have
completed Alien Registration procedures return to Japan within 3 months
after they left, the date of returning to Japan is not regarded as "landing"（the
base date for deciding the validity period of the international driver's
license）.
日本の住民基本台帳に登録されている者や、外国人登録を受けているものが、、日本を出国後、3ヶ月以内に帰国した場合は、その帰国の日は「上陸（国際運転免許証による運転可能期間の起算日）」とはなりません。 |
