If you want to participate in international exchange, there are various exchange opportunities provided by municipal offices and international exchange groups that you can contact. The Fukui International Association also offers information through publications such as "FIA
pocket", published bimonthly in 4 languages (Japanese, English,
Chinese, and Portuguese), where you can find information about
exchange events, etc. and "Koryu
Fukui," (issued at the end of March, July and November).

Even if the post office name and date is imprinted on the stamps, they can be exchanged for cash and donated to funds for medical aid, etc. However, methods of collection differ depending on facilities, so first decide which facility you will send stamps to, confirm the method of collection, and request your sending method, etc. in advance.

NGOs carry out trade activities to promote economically self-reliant farmers and women in developing countries. They buy farm products and crafts at appropriate prices from producers directly, import, and sell them in Japan. This kind of trade is called "Fair Trade" or "Alternative Trade." Prices are slightly higher than those of supermarkets, but it is pleasant as these are not cheap products made through cheap sweatshop labor. In addition, the promotion of economically self-reliant farmers and women in developing countries will lead to the development of their countries. You can find a lot of beautiful and rare crafts.
途上国の農民や女性の経済的な自立を図るために、農産物や民芸品を適正な価格で直接生産者から買い取り、日本に輸入して販売する貿易業務をＮＧＯが行っています。こうした貿易は、フェアトレードとかオルタナティブトレードと呼ばれています。販売価格は、スーパーなどで販売されているものより若干高めになりますが、立場の弱い現地の貧しい人々を犠牲にして安くなった商品ではないので、気持ちよく購入できます。また、途上国の農民や女性の経済的な自立が促進されれば、途上国の発展につながります。手工芸品などの中には、とてもきれいな手に入りにくいものが数多くあります。 |
