Weed restraint sheets prevent weeds from growing by blocking sunshine. However, a part of weeds like Japanese blood grass whose tips are pointed keep growing even under the sheet and try to thrust through it. Although a sheet made of high-density fiber has high intensity, it also has a defect of being easily destroyed. However, our weed restraint sheets have two-layered structure in which soft textile sheets are bonded on their surface. Thus, we succeeded in improving both intensity and durability of weed restraint sheets to prevent weeds from growing.

防草シートは太陽の光を遮ることによって雑草の繁茂を防ぎますが、チガヤなど先端が尖っている雑草の一部は、シートを突き破って伸びようとする性質があります。高密度の繊維によるシートは、強度は高いものの硬くて破損しやすいという欠点があります。それに対して、当社の防草シートは、その表層に柔らかい不織布を貼り合わせた2層構造とし、雑草を防ぐ強度と耐久性の両方を向上させることに成功しています。
